Have you ever got dressed for a date but rather look like you joined a cult? Nope, that’s just me, Huh?
Not every day seems outfitted from the get-go to proceed smoothly. It was just one of those days. I picked up a new dress for a date with my husband. It had all the Americana styling of Ralph Lauren’s Double RL label. But something about it was off. No matter what accessories of fashion I tried on, none seemed to fit the look. The composition also didn’t sit quite right with me. The resounding discord felt old-fashioned, like a bit of classic rock ‘n’ roll, “Right Place Wrong Time.” I was in the right dress, but it must’ve been the wrong line. I’d have said the right lyrics, but it must’ve been the wrong vibes. I’d like to tell you the whole thing ended up working out, but not without its share of drama. Perhaps someday it’ll lead us beyond the infinite: through the wormhole that Dave traveled in 2001 to wherever socks go in the washing machine. Anyhoo, the important thing is that the lipstick turned up, and it turned out to be my fave makeup with this dress, which is great, besides that the whole experience of getting dressed nearly drove me mad, thus providing an explanation for the crazed look in my eyes (pictured below). Here’s everything left that you need to know:
